Resmed’s New F20 mask: A review, Part Two
Continuing on discussing the F20 by Resmed…
THE MASK FRAME AND ELBOW
The F20 mask frame presents a more compact feel and design when compared to the F10, The angles where the headgear attaches and ´pulls´ the mask onto the face have remained consistent. There have been some interesting changes to the F20’s elbow and exhaust design.
The Squeeze Tab allows easy removal of the elbow joint, at the point of the frame. They are easy to locate, and will prove to be more durable than the flimsy rubber bits on the F10. In addition, ResMed has employed harder plastic for the entire elbow assembly, likely making this part a bit more durable as well.
THE HEADGEAR and sizing
The headgear design, in principle, remains similar to the F10. Obviously the mechanism of attaching the headgear has changed while the basic design is still solid. The fabric is breathable, plush-like and stable.
Before obtaining the F20, you can print and size your face with the template below:

Conclusion
Altogether, the combination of the small improvements add up to a unique design. Resmed has fine-tuned the open face full face design and continues to come a long way with its engineering since the Quattro FX mask line.
Overall, we feel ResMed has done a grand job here. They have incorporated the best features of their previous masks and have created what seems to be a very solid package called the F20. This mask rates a “10” out of ten in our book.
