Product Overview
|
FullLife has less bulk while providing more convenience, comfort, and performance.
Smaller and lighter - yet highly durable. That's what we created with the FullLife full-face mask. A revolutionary design makes FullLife a great choice for both men and women who need a full-face mask but prefer something more compact and less intrusive than other full-face masks. To accomplish that, we eliminated the conventional forehead pad and provided a clear sight line. To enhance comfort, we used a dual-textured cushion that aids with assembly and prevents mask movement on the face. A clever headgear design further improves mask fit while simplifying application and removal.
With just one faceplate to fit all sizes - plus our FitPack and DuoPack options - FullLife is more comfortable for you as well. Sometimes helping you fit 100% of your patients, 100% of the time means giving you less, while still finding ways to give you much, much more. Visit the Features and Finding the right fit resources on this Web site to see how the FullLife mask can be your full solution.
The FullLife , like all masks from Respironics, is latex free.

Features of FullLife Full-face CPAP Mask
|
|
The FullLife full-face mask was designed specifically to provide a practical option for those patients who need the performance of a full-face mask but prefer a more compact and less intrusive mask. With FullLife, we're meeting that need, while helping you achieve the long-term compliance and results for which you and your patients strive.
A minimal mask with a full set of features
We developed FullLife with a minimalist approach. We wanted to minimize bulkiness and weight. Yet, we challenged ourselves to maximize performance, comfort, and durability. One of the primary ways we did that was to eliminate the traditional forehead pad. That, in turn, removed a common pressure point and cleared the wearer's view.
And, while FullLife may be small in stature, its dual-textured cushion surface creates a robust seal even during patient movement at night. Helping to keep everything securely in place, our straightforward, step-by-step numbered headgear system assures seal, while simplifying application and removal.
Minimal inventory for you to manage
With just one faceplate for all sizes (S, M, and L), plus the convenience of our FitPack and DuoPack kits, FullLife is designed to help you fit more of your patients with fewer parts and less inventory to manage. It's a quicker, simpler solution based directly on input from customers like you.

Landmarks
- Sides of nostrils
- Bridge of nose zone
- Below the nose tip, above the lip
Directions
- Begin with sizing gauge. The integrated sizing gauge on the package allows for quick and easy fitting and cuts down on mask waste by letting you determine the correct mask size before you open the bag.
- Check landmarks.
- Choose the smallest mask that fits without pinching or obstructing the nostrils.
- Try the mask on with the device at the prescribed pressure to ensure proper fit.

Helpful Hints for Mask Use
Below you will find a list of tips that will help you wear your ComfortSeries mask more comfortably and optimize your mask usage. As an informed healthcare consumer, you should be aware of the mask replacement benefits under your healthcare plan. If your plan does not meet your mask replacement needs, talk to your home healthcare provider.
- Headgear should be secure but not too tight. Tighten top strap first, then bottom strap.
- Final adjustment should be done while lying down with the air blowing at the prescribed pressure through the tubing and mask.
- Cushion should not be crushed against the face.
- Tight fit is not necessary for effective therapy. By tightening, folds are created in the material, causing a leak path. Try loosening the mask if leaks are present.
- Mark the headgear straps with permanent marker to remember where they should be fastened.
- Remove the mask by pulling over head or use the quick release clip.
- Do not block the exhalation port. It is necessary to clear carbon dioxide.
- Loop the tubing over the headboard to reduce pull on mask.
- Place the tubing under a blanket to warm the air.
Overcoming Common Side Effects
As with most prescribed therapies, it is normal to experience some minor side effects. Below are a few suggestions that may help to alleviate some of the common side effects associated with positive airway pressure. If you continue to experience these side effects, or others not mentioned below, contact your home healthcare provider.
Skin Irritation/Red Marks
- Mask could be too tight: Loosen the headgear, try another size or another type of mask.
- Mask could be stiff from age: Replace it with a new one.
- You could be allergic to the mask's material: Soak in hot soapy water and try again, change to a different type mask material or use a protective skin covering (e.g. moleskin or Duoderm)
Air Leaks
- Adjust the forehead support arm (if applicable)
- Adjust the headgear straps
- Customize gel cushion (if applicable)
- Adjust the forehead spacer (if applicable)
- Try another mask size or another mask type
Runny Nose/Dryness/Congestion/Nosebleed
- Ask your healthcare provider about adding a humidifier to your therapy device or recommend a topical nasal preparation. There are also prescription or OTC nasal sprays. Lastly, inquire about other available therapy modes such as Auto-CPAP or Bi-Level.

The mask cushion or pillows should be washed daily with hot soapy water and left for air-dry. The coarse black filters should be washed twice a week under hot running water (no soap). The humidifier chamber should be drained and washed at least once a week with hot soapy water or dishwasher. The air tubing can be washed with hot water (no soap) and left to air dry.
CAUTION: DO NOT clean any parts of the CPAP system with alcohol or solutions that contain alcohol.
