Product Overview
The ComfortLite 2 is the uniquely designed mask for patients whose comfort dictates compliance. It offers three interchangeable cushion options and a unique headgear system that leaves no pressure points on the face. All of which makes the ComfortLite 2 an incredibly versatile – and incredibly comfortable – option as you fit 100% of your patients 100% of the time.
The ComfortLite 2, like all masks in the Comfort Series, is latex free.
Features of ComfortLite 2 Nasal Pillows
The ComfortLite 2 offers a host of features to help fit a wide range of patients looking for an increased chance at comfort and compliance.
There are now three nasal interface offerings — the NEW Pillows Cushion, the Simple Cushion&trade and the Direct Seal&trade - giving patients a more personalized choice for their most comfortable and effective interface.
The new "Halo" Headgear keeps the straps off the face and relies on the forehead for stability which provides a comfortable, reliable seal with no pressure points.
This newly designed headgear features straps that are made from a flexible, sleep-friendly fabric and can be configured three ways.
The crown swivel is made of a new, easy-rotating material — and it's been moved forward to reduce contact with the patient's bed pillow.
This combination of features and personal options may be just right for patients who've been searching for a lightweight mask that offers an increased chance at comfort and in turn, compliance.
With its multiple cushion options and headgear support with no pressure points, the ComfortLite 2 provides a comfortable and personalized fit, increasing the opportunity for patient compliance. These features, in addition to the new soft-sided headgear and higher crown swivel attachment point, provide you and your patients with a comfortable and reliable alternative to traditional nasal masks.
The interactive graphic below is designed to show the proper positioning of the ComfortLite 2, along with some common fitting mistakes that can be easily avoided.

Helpful Hints for Mask Use
Below you will find a list of tips that will help you wear your ComfortSeries mask more comfortably and optimize your mask usage. As an informed healthcare consumer, you should be aware of the mask replacement benefits under your healthcare plan. If your plan does not meet your mask replacement needs, talk to your home healthcare provider.
Headgear should be secure but not too tight. Tighten top strap first, then bottom strap.
Final adjustment should be done while lying down with the air blowing at the prescribed pressure through the tubing and mask.
Cushion should not be crushed against the face.
Tight fit is not necessary for effective therapy. By tightening, folds are created in the material, causing a leak path. Try loosening the mask if leaks are present.
Mark the headgear straps with permanent marker to remember where they should be fastened.
Remove the mask by pulling over head or use the quick release clip.
Do not block the exhalation port. It is necessary to clear carbon dioxide.
Loop the tubing over the headboard to reduce pull on mask.
Place the tubing under a blanket to warm the air.
Overcoming Common Side Effects
As with most prescribed therapies, it is normal to experience some minor side effects. Below are a few suggestions that may help to alleviate some of the common side effects associated with positive airway pressure. If you continue to experience these side effects, or others not mentioned below, contact your home healthcare provider.
Skin Irritation/Red Marks
Mask could be too tight: Loosen the headgear, try another size or another type of mask.
Mask could be stiff from age: Replace it with a new one.
You could be allergic to the mask's material: Soak in hot soapy water and try again, change to a different type mask material or use a protective skin covering (e.g. moleskin or Duoderm)
Air Leaks
Adjust the forehead support arm (if applicable)
Adjust the headgear straps
Customize gel cushion (if applicable)
Adjust the forehead spacer (if applicable)
Try another mask size or another mask type
Runny Nose/Dryness/Congestion/Nosebleed
Ask us about adding a humidifier to your therapy device or recommend a topical nasal preparation. There are also prescription or OTC nasal sprays. Lastly, inquire about other available therapy modes such as Auto-CPAP.
The mask cushion or pillows should be washed daily with hot soapy water and left for air-dry. The coarse black filters should be washed twice a week under hot running water (no soap). The humidifier chamber should be drained and washed at least once a week with hot soapy water or dishwasher. The air tubing can be washed with hot water (no soap) and left to air dry.
CAUTION: DO NOT clean any parts of the CPAP system with alcohol or solutions that contain alcohol.
