The Premium Chinstrap is designed to help hold the mouth closed during CPAP/BiPAP therapy encouraging nasal breathing and preventing mouth leak. It features an integrated chin cup to provide support without placing unnecessary tension around the chin itself. In addition the Premium's multiple adjustment points allow you to create a secure fit without overtightening or pinching. The Respironics' Premium Chinstrap is latex-free and machine washable.
Very disappointed with the quality of the Phillips Wisp mask frame and hose assembly. Seven to ten days after the 90 warranty the cloth-covered mask frame disintegrated on one side of the mask. I repaired the break with tape only to have the plastic clips on the hose cease to remain connected to the mask (more tape). I made the mistake of not contacting VitalAire immediately, and now have no recourse but to purchase new equipment. "Great warranty" folks on a cheaply made but expensive product.
